Jewellery has an almost limitless ability to be manipulated and transformed by the creator for storytelling. There are few restrictions on materials, dimensions, and scale except those imposed by the maker. By its very nature it invites interaction with both the wearer and the viewer. The body as display takes a story out of the personal home domain, where much art is privately appreciated, and invites contact with anyone we encounter in our public lives; giving those around the wearer a deeper glimpse of a person’s inner world.
I make jewellery to satisfy my need to tell stories about my own life, the world around me, and for people who wish to encapsulate something special through the creation of a custom piece designed and made just for them.
